Semiya (Vermicelli) Upma
This is a usual South Indian tiffin. The preparation and cooking time is very less and its healthy also.
Ingredients:
1. Semiya (Vermicelli) – 1 cup
2. Onions -1
3. Tomatoes – 2
4. Peas
5. Green Chillies – 2
6. Salt
7. Water – 2 Cups
8. oil
9. Mustard
10. Urud Dal
11. Coriander leaves
12. Turmeric powder
How to prepare:
1. Cut onions, tomatoes and green chillies. We can more veggies if we wish.
2. Heat oil in a kadai.
3. Add mustard, Urud Dal, finely chopped green chillies.
4. Add oinons and fry till its transperent.
5. Add tomatoes and peas.
6. Add required salt and turmeric powder.
7. Now add the vermicelli and immediately add 2 cups of water.
8. Stir well. The upma solidifies.
9. Garnish with coriander leaves.
10. Tasty Semiya upma is ready. I served it with Pudina Chutney
