Spicy Dill leaves Idlies
The internet says that Dill leaves has medicinal properties and can cure indigesion.Mrs. Prathiba from The Indian Food Court (http://cuisineindia.wordpress.com) had made this wonderful recipe. It sounded unconventional and I was hesitant to give it a try. When I made it at home, it was such a big hit. The idly was full of flavor and was a treat to the senses! Ingredients:
1. Fresh Dill leaves – 1 bunch (finely chopped 1 cup)
2. Rava – 1 cup
3. Grated coconut – 1/2 cup
4. Curd – 2 tablespoons
5. Green chillies – 1 (Finely chopped)
6. Salt
7. Mustard
8. Water
Method of Preparation:
1. Combine Rava, finely chopped dill leaves, coconut, curd, salt and water
2. Mix it well and rest it for few minutes
3. In a small kadai, heat oil, temper mustard and green chillies and add it to the mixture
4. Grease the idly plate with little oil and make idlies
5. Tasty Dill leaves idlies are ready
