Ingredients: (Serves 2)

Capsicum (Green, Red or Yellow Peppers) – 1

Paneer – 5 slices cut into squares or triangles

Onion -1 big

Tomato paste from 1 tomato

turmeric powder – 1 tsp

Kasoori Methi – 1 tsp

oil

salt to taste

For the masala:

Red Chili – 1

Cumin Seeds – 1 tsp

Coriander seeds – 1.5 tbsp

Pepper – 1 tsp

Fennel seeds – 1 tsp

Preparation:

1. Cut Capsicum and onion into squares

2. Cut paneer into squares or triangles

3. Dry roast the ingredients for masala and grind them coarsely

4. reserve 1 tsp of the coarse mixture for garnishing and finely grind the remaining masala

5. Heat oil in a pan and add the kadai paneer masala and fry for a min in low heat

6. Add turmeric powder, onions and salt

7. fry till onions turn transparent

8. add capsicum and fry for a minute

9. add the ground tomato paste

10. Let it boil for 2 minutes

11. Add the cut paneer and boil for 5 minutes or till the consistency is semi dry

12. Finally transfer to a bowl and garnish with the coarsely ground masala and crushed kasoori methi

Tasty Kadai paneer is ready and goes well with chapathis.
