Ingredients:

1. Toor Dhal -1 cup

2. Bengal Gram Dhal – 1 cup

3. Urud Dhal – 1 cup (if you want the vadai to crispper, then 1/2 cup)

4. red chillies (4)  and green chillies (4)

5. salt – to taste

6. asafoetida – pinch

7. oil- to fry

8. coconut – 1/2

How to prepare:

1. Soak the dhals for 30 minutes.

2. Grind all ingredients except oil coarsely.  Add little ghee.

3. make into small balls, flatten them and deep fry in oil by slipping them into oil with fingers.

4. Tasty aamai vadai is ready.
