Vegetable Biriyani


a. Rice (Not mandatory to be basmathi)

b. Vegetables of your choice – onion, tomato, carrot, peas, cauliflower, green chilli

c. Spices – bay leaf, cloves, cumin seeds, cinnamon, mint leaves.

d. salt, biriyani masala

e. garlic

How to make:

a. soak rice in water for some 30 to 40 minutes.

b. drain water and keep.

c. Chop vegetables.

d. in a pan, heat little oil. Add spices.

e. Add garlic, onion. fry till onion is golden brown.

f. Add chopped tomatoes and all vegetables.

g. Add more salt than needed.

h. Add Biriyani masala.

i. cook the mixture for few minutes and add it to the rice. while adding make sure that vegetables and rice mix.

j. Add water and pressure cook rice and vegetables mixture.

k. Serve with raitha and potato chips.

l. dry nuts like cashew can be added to the rice if needed.
